Voiceover recording

A voiceover should be understandable and sustain the tone of the piece, whether it is a brief presentation or a training module. Our sessions record a voice chosen by the client and deliver organised material with a consistent performance.

A voice artist wearing headphones reads at a microphone in a recording space.

We can work with professional voice artists or people narrating their own projects.

The rate covers engineer-assisted recording: hiring a performer and negotiating usage rights are separate items that must be clear from the outset.

A process in four steps

  1. 01Brief

Tell us the goal, available material and preferred date. We review the job before suggesting a session.

  2. 02Quotation

You receive scope, rates, first delivery date and written terms. Booking follows acceptance and the 30% deposit.

  3. 03Work

We follow the agreed scope and discuss changes before carrying them out. The booked time includes planned breaks.

  4. 04Delivery

Review a version, consolidate comments and use the 2 included rounds. Final files and agreed rights follow full payment.

Define the piece and its destination

We need to know the purpose of the recording before arranging the session: internal training, a company video, editorial narration or commercial communication. Text length alone does not explain the workload. A short piece with many variants may require more takes than a longer reading with a consistent tone. Specify languages, pronunciation preferences and version count. If the voice will accompany video, provide timing information or an edit that will remain stable during recording. Translation, casting and advertising copywriting are not included. We do not attribute a recording to someone else or offer deceptive imitation of a public figure.

A script ready to read

Supply the final script with numbers, abbreviations and names written as they should be spoken. A figure is easier to correct before recording than after the audio has been placed inside a video. Divide the script by scene or module and use references that can also name the exports. Keep performance instructions visibly separate from spoken sentences. Reading aloud beforehand reveals pacing issues that may not be obvious on screen. If several people review the copy, obtain approval before booking. Later script changes may require another recording; the included feedback rounds are not a substitute for a complete rewrite.

Directing tone and pace

We agree on an intention reference rather than a vague label such as friendly voice. Explain whom the piece addresses, where it will be heard and what the listener should understand afterwards. We test a representative passage and adjust pace, energy and pauses before moving on. The engineer handles signal and continuity; editorial direction belongs to the client’s appointed reviewer. Alternatives can be recorded when booked time permits, but an unlimited version list is not part of a standard hour. Breaks and repetitions are organised to protect clarity. Very precise picture synchronisation is assessed as an additional project requirement.

What is included

  • Technical test and monitoring adjustment
  • Engineer during the booked time
  • Recording of the approved script
  • Take and module identification
  • Exports within the agreed scope
  • 2 feedback rounds on booked editing

Editing and splitting files

The agreed edit can organise takes, remove identified errors and separate modules. Breaths and small noises are reviewed with judgement: removing every pause can make a narration feel unnatural. Files are labelled by scene, module and version to help integration. If you need exact silence lengths, mandatory names or a level limit, include them in the brief. A learning platform may require different formats from an internal video. Known requirements are reflected in the quotation before work begins. Complex restoration of a recording made elsewhere is not equivalent to recording a fresh voiceover and requires its own assessment.

Voice permissions and usage

The person speaking must understand and authorise the intended use. Medium, territory, duration and exclusivity may be part of the performer agreement. A studio invoice does not automatically extend that licence. For advertising, training or products distributed to others, keep the authorisation with the project. This service does not use recordings to train models or clone voices. Any synthetic use would require a specific agreement and separate review; it cannot be inferred from accepting a recording session. The client also needs rights to the script, music and images. The permissions guide helps organise questions but is not legal advice about a specific contract.

Delivery with organised review

Final files are delivered as 24-bit WAV at the agreed sample rate; an MP3 can be added for review. Compare the reading with the approved script and group comments by module or timecode. Two feedback rounds cover the booked work. An editing mistake and a decision to rewrite the script are different situations, so the scope is explained before a new take begins. Deadlines are agreed in writing according to length, versions and performer availability. Working files are kept for 6 months. Bookings and additional hiring are confirmed through a quotation, without promises of automatic acceptance by an advertising platform.

Rates and conditions

Voiceover recordinghour€61.98€75.00

Rates show the 21% VAT-inclusive amount alongside the net amount so you can compare the full cost. The quotation identifies time, tasks and deliverables; a starting figure is not a replacement for that agreement. The 30% deposit is deducted from the total rather than added as another charge. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before the session, with the deposit refunded. With less notice, any charge is assessed under the terms and actual committed work, while preserving applicable statutory rights. B2B invoices have a 15-day payment term when agreed in writing. Enquiries are answered within 2 business days, Monday to Friday, 10:00–19:00 Madrid time. The person booking must be at least 18. If a performer is younger, participation and permission must be discussed with their legal representative before booking.
