Audio service

Podcast production

An interesting conversation loses its impact when listeners have to work to understand someone. Podcast production focuses on balanced voices, comfortable microphone technique and editing that respects the pace of the discussion.

Two participants with microphones and headphones talk across a podcast recording table.

We work with interviews, team conversations, cultural projects and audio series for brands.

First we define the format and intended running time, then establish a recording and delivery workflow you can repeat for later episodes without starting from scratch.

A process in four steps

  1. 01Brief

Tell us the goal, available material and preferred date. We review the job before suggesting a session.

  2. 02Quotation

You receive scope, rates, first delivery date and written terms. Booking follows acceptance and the 30% deposit.

  3. 03Work

We follow the agreed scope and discuss changes before carrying them out. The booked time includes planned breaks.

  4. 04Delivery

Review a version, consolidate comments and use the 2 included rounds. Final files and agreed rights follow full payment.

Choose the format first

Decide whether the episode is a guided interview, an open conversation or a scripted narrative before booking. Each format requires different preparation and a different amount of editing. An hour of conversation does not necessarily equal an hour of finished audio: pauses, repetitions and unpublished sections still need to be reviewed. Tell us how many people will join, who moderates and whom you want to reach. For an organisation, nominate one person to approve the edit. A single point of contact prevents conflicting instructions at the end. Full editorial planning, research and guest recruitment are separate tasks rather than automatic additions to a recording appointment.

Prepare a useful conversation

Bring an outline with sections, questions and a closing point rather than memorising every sentence. Share names, pronunciations and terminology that might need another take. Each participant should know where their contribution will appear and authorise the intended use of their voice. Avoid including sensitive information about people who are not taking part. If the episode uses music, check that the licence covers your intended use; a personal streaming subscription is not sufficient by itself. Allow time between journeys and interviews in Madrid so guests can arrive comfortably. Material can be reviewed before the session, but use agreed channels and do not send unnecessary identity documents.

Recording with separate voices

Where the format allows, each voice is recorded on its own track. This separation makes level changes and brief interruptions easier to manage without treating the entire conversation as a single block. A short test establishes distance and posture before recording starts. Avoid tapping the table or handling objects close to a microphone. The engineer monitors the signal while the host keeps the interview on course. If a guest joins remotely, their connection and its limitations need to be tested before the service is confirmed. Video, live streaming and remote connection equipment are not included by default in this audio recording rate.

What is included

  • Technical preparation for the agreed format
  • Engineer during recording
  • Separate tracks where the format permits
  • Initial voice balancing
  • Agreed listening exports
  • 2 comment rounds on booked editing

Editing without erasing personality

An edit can remove repetitions, long pauses and identified mistakes while retaining a conversation that still sounds human. We agree on the degree of intervention: an informal podcast requires a different approach from a corporate piece with a fixed duration. Noise reduction is used carefully because excessive treatment can damage speech. Sensitive editorial decisions must come from the project owner. We do not rebuild sentences to make someone appear to express a message they never gave. The 2 included comment rounds should use timecodes and a consolidated list. A new structure, another episode or additional recorded contributions are quoted separately.

Files for publication

Delivery is agreed around the destination platform. We can prepare an archival WAV and a publishing MP3 with the level and metadata specified in the quotation. Separate voice files are supplied when included in the scope, rather than being an implied part of every editing package. Listen to the complete episode before publishing: names, figures and permissions need your editorial approval. The first delivery date is set after reviewing raw duration and the requested edit. Working materials are retained for 6 months. Uploading to a podcast host, creating an RSS feed, transcribing episodes and producing social clips require their own agreed scope.

Pricing the actual workload

The recording hour includes the engineer for that time. Editing is priced according to raw duration, voice count and complexity, with the amount specified before you accept the project. An episode with frequent interruptions can require more work than a longer, well-prepared conversation. For a series, a consistent outline and naming scheme make continuity easier. We do not promise audience figures or search rankings: producing audio and finding listeners are separate processes. A booking requires a 30% deposit against the accepted quotation. Cancellation terms and consumer rights are explained on a separate page instead of being concealed in the small print beneath a rate.

Podcast productionhour€70.25€85.00

Rates show the 21% VAT-inclusive amount alongside the net amount so you can compare the full cost. The quotation identifies time, tasks and deliverables; a starting figure is not a replacement for that agreement. The 30% deposit is deducted from the total rather than added as another charge. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before the session, with the deposit refunded. With less notice, any charge is assessed under the terms and actual committed work, while preserving applicable statutory rights. B2B invoices have a 15-day payment term when agreed in writing. Enquiries are answered within 2 business days, Monday to Friday, 10:00–19:00 Madrid time. The person booking must be at least 18. If a performer is younger, participation and permission must be discussed with their legal representative before booking.
